Meredith Steen joined Beacon Global Strategies LLC as an Associate in November 2013.
Prior to joining Beacon, Ms. Steen worked as a Legislative Analyst at Williams & Jensen, PLLC. There, she supported client initiatives relating to cyber security, international trade, and tax reform.
As a Legislative Analyst, Ms. Steen strategized on relevant legislation with the firm’s principals. She attended meetings on Capitol Hill and prepared hearing reports, briefing points, and summaries for clients and staff. She also worked directly with the American-Lithuanian, American-Romanian, U.S.-Turkmenistan, and U.S.-Poland Business Councils to support their business, membership and legislative priorities.
Previously, Ms. Steen interned for Terry McAuliffe’s campaign for Governor of Virginia, Washington Council Ernst & Young, and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In addition, she worked as a Legislative Intern in the Office of Congressman James Moran.
Ms. Steen graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Foreign Affairs and History. She focused in Eastern European and Eurasian Studies.
