Prior to joining Beacon, Mr. Kenney was a research assistant at the RAND Corporation, where he supported State Department sanctions efforts and analyzed trends in emerging technology, force structures, and defense budgets. He was previously an intern in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the State Department, covering anti-corruption efforts, foreign investment, and European commitments to the D-ISIL campaign. He also interned in the U.S. House of Representatives and at Verité, a nonprofit organization focused on labor supply chains.
Mr. Kenney graduated from Georgetown University with an M.A. in Security Studies, with a concentration in technology policy. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Economics.
