Prior to joining BGS, Ms. Joul was a Senior Research and Growth Associate at Raise for Good, a social impact advisory firm. In this role, she led strategic research projects for global tech companies and nonprofits and drove community and brand-building initiatives for the firm. From 2019 to 2020, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Gansu, China, teaching English to university students as part of the last cohort to serve in the country.
Ms. Joul holds an M.A. in International Economics and Development from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she focused on the US-China tech competition. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in International Studies from American University’s School of International Service, which included a semester abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
