Prior to joining Beacon, Isabelle served as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Administrator at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In this role, she provided essential support to the Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Europe & Eurasia (E&E), and E&E front office. She balanced the schedule and workload of the Assistant Administrator, developed and set standard operating procedures for the Bureau, and coordinated high-stakes travel, events, and conferences with a wide variety of stakeholders. She was particularly proud to support the Assistant Administrator’s visits to the region and see firsthand the incredible impact of American assistance in-country.
In August of 2022, Isabelle joined USAID as an intern on the Ukraine Desk, about six months into Russia’s re-invasion of Ukraine. This hands-on experience cemented her passion for working in a dynamic environment, with a diverse group of colleagues and always-different day-to-day. This internship spanned the last semester of Isabelle’s studies at American University, where she graduated magna cum laude in December 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
