Ashley Barry joined Beacon Global Strategies LLC in February 2017.
Prior to joining Beacon, Ms. Barry served as the Deputy Chief Management Officer with the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB). In that role, Ms. Barry supported the Board’s administrative agenda by assisting the General Counsel with drafting policies and procedures, and supporting the Chief Financial Officer with budget formulation and execution. She also served as the Internal Controls Officer tasked with ensuring achievement of the Board’s objectives in operational effectiveness and efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
In addition to her work with the PCLOB, Ms. Barry served as the Chief Clerk of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), where she oversaw and directed the Committee’s daily activities, managed the support staff, and maintained administrative responsibility of the Committee’s budget.
She joined the HPSCI staff in February 2007 as the Deputy Security Director and in January 2008 became the Minority Research Assistant. Ashley was promoted to Chief Clerk in January 2011. Prior to joining HPSCI, she served as a Staff Assistant for the Office of House Security from 2006 to 2007.
Ashley graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2004 with a B.A. in Biology.
