Alicia Chavy joined Beacon Global Strategies LLC in July 2019.
Prior to joining Beacon, Ms. Chavy was a Research Assistant at the Center for Security Studies at Georgetown University, where she supported Dr. Bruce Hoffman. She also served as an intern at the Conflict and Stability Operations Bureau at the State Department, covering political violence, violent extremism, migration, and human rights issues in the Western Hemisphere. Ms. Chavy was also an intern at Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she worked on security sector assistance, stability operations, and NDAA reforms issues.
From 2015 to 2017, Ms. Chavy worked as a Compliance Analyst at Kroll Associates, where she conducted high stake corporate investigations and reputational projects on international security and geopolitical issues, including corruption, money laundering, and fraud. Prior to her work at Kroll, she interned at The Asia Group, Public Law and Policy Group (PILPG), Hudson Institute, American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC), and Hilton Corporate.
Ms. Chavy holds a B.S. in Foreign Service and a M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, focusing on terrorism and substate violence.
