Emily Barton started at Beacon Global Strategies in 2024 as an Analyst, before joining full-time as an Associate. Prior to her role as an Analyst, she was the Programmatic Manager for RKD Group, directing programmatic operations, staff, and strategic priorities for nonprofit clients. Barton has also worked as a Communications Director for the Texas Freedom Network and interned with the United Nations Information Center. At the Information Center, she tracked emerging international conflicts and supported U.N. communications with the U.S. federal government. While earning her undergraduate degree, Barton completed an honors thesis on the work of non-governmental organizations in Kenya.
Barton holds a B.A. in International Relations and Global Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds an M.A. in Global Policy Studies from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. While pursuing her M.A., Barton acquired a graduate portfolio in International Security Studies with the Clements Center for National Security.
