Prior to joining BGS, Ms. Hemingway was a Senior Associate at Twenty Kemp Strategies, a political consulting firm, where she led digital and communications strategy for clients in politics, journalism, law, and data analytics.
She previously worked as Research Assistant to Dr. Michael Pillsbury, Senior Fellow and Director for Chinese Strategy at the Hudson Institute, where she focused on strategic competition with the People’s Republic of China. Prior to that role, she was a U.S. Grand Strategy Intern at the Hudson Institute, where she focused on national security and defense policy.
Ms. Hemingway also served as a Political Affairs Intern at the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping in the Office of Rule of Law and Security Institutions, where she worked on international security issues. She previously founded and served as Editor-in-Chief at Ensemble Magazine, an online publication focused on international news and culture.
Ms. Hemingway holds an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she concentrated in U.S. National Security Policy and Asian Studies. She holds an M.A. (Honors) in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh and spent a year abroad at Sciences Po Paris.
