Patrick Michaels joined Beacon Global Strategies in August 2023 as an Associate. Prior to joining BGS, Mr. Michaels served as Legislative Aide in the U.S. Senate, where he helped manage a policy portfolio covering telecommunications, semiconductors, space, labor, education, and healthcare policy. He was part of the legislative team that passed the CHIPS for America Act in the 2021 NDAA and secured funding for the CHIPS Program in the CHIPS and Science Act. Mr. Michaels also served as a Public Policy Fellow in the U.S. Senate, where he assisted a team focused on foreign aid and international economic development policy.
Mr. Michaels holds both a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia (UGA). He also holds an M.A. in Modern History from King’s College London where he was co-enrolled in the War Studies department and focused on the history of technology and the history of war. Mr. Michaels volunteers for the UGA Mentor Program, King’s College London Mentor Program, and UGA Washington Semester Program where he helps current university students prepare for life outside of school.
