Prior to joining BGS, Ms. McNaughton was a Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Export Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security where she worked on advanced technology policy, Middle East affairs, and stakeholder engagement. While at Commerce, she also served in the Office of the Secretary. Prior to joining government, Ms. McNaughton worked in partnerships for an international nonprofit, was a Field Organizer during the 2020 presidential election cycle, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Indonesia.
Ms. McNaughton holds a Master’s in Public Policy from American University, focusing on national security, and double Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish Language and Society from the University of Oregon.
