Sarah Eiland Joined Beacon Global Strategies in April 2023
Sarah Eiland joined Beacon Global Strategies in April 2023 as a Business Development Associate. Prior to joining BGS, Ms. Eiland worked at Venable LLP as a Public Affairs and Policy Analyst where she specialized in working with tech clients on global data privacy issues. At Venable Ms. Eiland helped lead the creation of an industry alliance focused on protecting user data with member companies from many Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. She also led projects within tech companies to develop programs, policies, and processes designed to better protect user privacy and meet international regulatory requirements.
Previously, she worked as a Researcher for a New York City-based political strategy firm and an Impact Assessment Researcher at a Memphis-based poverty-fighting non-profit. She also interned with a Cape-Town, South Africa based non-profit focused on fighting homelessness and systemic poverty. She has also conducted in-depth research in online violence, online privacy, disinformation, and misinformation.
Sarah holds an M.Sc. (Honors) in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an M.A. (Honors) in Gender, Politics and International Relations from University College Dublin. She holds a dual B.A. in History and International Studies from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where she graduated cum laude and acted as Co-Editor-in-Chief for two academic journals.
