Prior to joining Beacon full-time, Mr. Agipong worked as an Analyst for BGS in 2022 and 2023. From 2018 to 2021, Mr. Agipong worked as a Data Analyst and Supply Chain Manager for AarhusKarlshamn (AAK), a multinational company specializing in manufacturing refined oils and fats. At AAK, Mr. Agipong leveraged machine learning tools to forecast commodity prices, designed risk mitigation strategies for entering markets in Togo and Benin, and collaborated with management teams in Burkina Faso and Ghana to introduce fair-trade supply chains across the West Africa’s Sahel region. Before joining AAK, Mr. Agipong served in the Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development Advisor in northeast Burkina Faso.
Mr. Agipong graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics, concentrating in Operations and Information Management. In 2023, Mr. Agipong graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with an M.A. in Global Risk. While at SAIS, Mr. Agipong served on the executive board of the SAIS Defense & Intelligence Club and led club efforts to introduce students to professional opportunities at the intersection of national security, technology, and private capital.
